Bycicling
The quiet roads and wonderfully flat tow paths along the canal, that join village to village and town to town, make a Burgundy a great place to bycicle for both adults and children. Whether you are looking for a quick trip to the local town while soaking up the beautiful countryside, then why not ride your bycicle along the canal tow path to Raviere, our local town. This is a quick trip and great fun with children, as you can buy delicious patessieries the other end! Alternatively, with the safe, quiet roads, you can bycicle up into the surrounding woodland and then whizz back down on the long winding roads to the house and jump in the pool to cool off!
If you don't want to bring your own bikes to the house it is very easy to hire bycicles, by the day or week, from Montbard (the local town). More details on this are sent to you when you book.
If you are more interested in a Bycicling Holiday then why not use the comfort of La Maison du Chateau for your base each evening, cycling off each morning to explore the charming timeless villages, the historic winding streets of medieval settlements, and set out to ride across rolling hills with broadleaf forests of oak, beech, hornbeam and birch, enjoying some of the best of rural France. And of course don't forget the opportunity you have to visit some of the best-known Bourgogne vineyards.
