Golf
There are 3 very good golf courses near to La Maison du Chateau. With them all set in the idyllic grounds of Chateaux, it means that as you wander the course you are surrounded by the spectacular grounds and buildings of these historic houses.
Tanlay has a 9 hole course in the grounds of the beautiful Chateau.
Chateau de Chailly, nr Pouilly en-Auxois has a very good 18 hole course.
There is also a world class 18 hole course the other side of Auxerre at 'Domaine de Roncemay' - Chateau Boisserelle. As well as the golf course it has a restaurant complex, spa and other outdoor activities on offer.
Riding
With it's beautiful rolling countryside, Burgundy is a wonderful place to Ride. The best place we have come across is M. Serge Bonadei's working horse farm. There are over 70 horses and a proper schooling arena. He's also happy to teach beginners but if you are an experienced rider he will allow you to go out on your own. If you are not experienced he or one of his family will accompany you. He recommends two hours so that you can get right up into the hills. Many previous guests have said it was a wonderful experience (especially for children keen on horses).
